REPORT FOR
MASH TEAM — March 29 – April 5, 2009
This time we only had two people register for our M.A.S.H. Team, but that was not a good reason to cancel it! We always enjoy having people come to Loreto to help us in our various ministries — whether they come on a Team or come as individuals or couples it does not matter to us. We just love to have the opportunity to give people a ‘missions experience’ here in our part of the world…
David and Leilani arrived on Saturday, so we enjoyed going together to two different churches on Sunday, as well giving them a detailed orientation to life in Loreto on Sunday and Monday…
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, David and Don helped with a construction project at one of the local churches; while Leilani and Lorraine (along with the wife of one of the Pastors), visited some of ladies in Loreto who have special needs.
Tuesday night we showed 2 evangelistic DVDs in one of the new areas of Loreto; and then on Thursday night (with the same Pastor), we gave out free reading & distance glasses to about 40 people. Wednesday evening we attended another church and Don gave an orientation to the Health Fair that we would be putting on with them in their church the following Sunday...
David & Leilani also wanted to participate in the full Weekender Team, from Friday through the following Monday, so all in all they had a well-rounded experience of many of the ministries that Don & Lorraine are involved with in and around Loreto...
