REPORT FOR
WEEKENDER TEAM — October 23-26, 2009
Those joining us for this Team flew into Loreto, and from there we drove to Santa Rosalía where we were joined by those driving up from La Paz.
Saturday, we were at Pastor Delmer’s new church called Congregación Multitudes — previously they had been renting a building on the waterfront in Santa Rosalía called Mundo Feliz; and we were there two years ago. So we were glad to go back to a church we had been to previously to help them attract new people to their new church building…
It was a very busy day — many people had come, and we were particularly pleased to learn that 2 people who have been attending the church, but who had not been successful in getting others in their families to come to church, were on this Saturday able to bring their families to the church for our Health Fairs and an introduction to the love of Jesus and the message of salvation.
Sunday we were in the State Prison, where there are currently 130 men; and while they all received a gift bag of hygiene items, and a Gospel of John, 47 of these men were attended to personally in various ways by our Team, and many had one-on-one in-depth talks with our doctors.
One man’s story: A killer becomes a Christian, and is now looking forward to a life of great impact when he gets out of prison… Please go to the LORETO page for the WHOLE STORY…
I trust this man’s story gives you an insight into what kind of people we are ministering to in the prison, what their struggles are, and how you can pray for them...
